These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the sheets.works website and services, including Formula AI. By using our site or services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
sheets.works provides Google Sheets consulting services and the Formula AI tool. Consulting services are delivered on a fixed-price, project basis as agreed between you and sheets.works. Formula AI is a web-based tool that generates Google Sheets formulas from natural language descriptions.
2. Formula AI
Free tier
New users receive 2 free messages upon signing up with an email address. An additional 2 bonus messages may be earned by opting into our mailing list. Free messages have no expiration date.
Paid messages
Additional messages can be purchased for a one-time payment of $9 for 100 messages, processed via Stripe. Purchased messages do not expire.
No guarantee of accuracy
Formula AI is powered by artificial intelligence and generates formulas based on your descriptions. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that generated formulas will be correct, complete, or suitable for your specific use case. You are responsible for reviewing and testing any formula before using it in production.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use our services for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data.
- Abuse, spam, or overload Formula AI (e.g., automated bulk requests).
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy our tools or website content.
- Misrepresent your identity or provide false information.
4. Payment Terms
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. The $9 one-time purchase for 100 Formula AI messages is non-refundable once any purchased messages have been used. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using purchased messages, contact us at hello@sheets.works and we will work to resolve it.
For consulting projects, payment terms are agreed upon individually in each project proposal.
5. Intellectual Property
Our content
The sheets.works website, branding, design, and tools (including Formula AI) are owned by sheets.works. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without permission.
Your content
You retain ownership of any information you provide through forms or chat messages. By using Formula AI, you grant us a limited right to process your messages solely for the purpose of generating formula responses.
Consulting deliverables
For consulting projects, you fully own all deliverables (spreadsheets, scripts, systems) upon final payment. We do not retain rights to your custom-built systems.
6. Limitation of Liability
sheets.works provides its services "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.
- We are not liable for any losses resulting from formulas generated by Formula AI.
- Our total liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Formula AI or our website if you violate these Terms. You may stop using our services at any time. Unused purchased messages are non-transferable.
8. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
