How is it different from Wordle?

Wordle asks you to guess five letters. Long Story Short asks you to guess five whole words. The scoring works the same way, with blue for a word in the right place and orange for a word that is in the answer but somewhere else, but the skill is compressing a sentence rather than spelling one.

Tap or click the words from the sentence to fill the five boxes, then press Guess. Blue means the word is in the right place, orange means it is in the answer but in a different place, and grey means it is not in the answer. You get five tries.

Is Long Story Short free?

Yes. It is free, there is no account or sign up, and it works in any browser on phone or desktop.

When does the new puzzle come out?

A new sentence unlocks at midnight in your own time zone. Past puzzles and their answers are kept in the archive.
