Kept 'Stourbridge'? That is where it happened, not what happened. Kept 'burned'? The fire burned the field after the horses were out. The rescue is the story. This one really happened. On 13 August a wildfire spread fast near Stourbridge in the West Midlands. Women from Sugarloaf Equestrian Centre saw horses in a field in its path, went down and led them out with a bucket of feed. Izzy Williams, 20, said the field was completely burnt about five minutes later. West Midlands Police thanked them with a visit to the mounted unit's stables. Stourbridge News, 1 November.
