Kept 'hopped'? The best wrong word here: it is how it ended, not what happened. Kept 'sea' or 'door'? That is how they got it on board.
This one really happened. A fishing crew on Boston Bay, off Port Lincoln in South Australia, saw a male kangaroo about three kilometres from shore. 'It was a bloody roo in the water!' said Jake Murray, one of the crew. They lowered the boat's sea door, got under its arms and brought it on board, and Murray held it all the way back. On the beach it rested, then hopped away. ABC News, 21 October.
