George F. Bush of Turners Falls, Massachusetts, turned 100 on 8 October. Three days later he was at Gillette Stadium for the Patriots’ home game against the Las Vegas Raiders, the Boston Globe reported.
He has had Patriots season tickets for 57 seasons and has never missed a home game, according to a statement the Globe quoted.
Bush served in the Navy in World War II. He taught history at Turners Falls High School for 30 years and coached youth and high school sports for decades, WWLP reported.
A family friend, Dave Bernard, drives him to Foxborough for every game, the Greenfield Recorder reported.
For this one the team took him down onto the field. “Being down on the field and the sidelines… Jonathan Kraft came over, and who was with him but his father,” Bush told the Recorder. Jonathan Kraft is the team president, and Robert Kraft owns the Patriots.
He shook hands with the head coach, Mike Vrabel, before the game and watched the quarterback, Drake Maye, warm up. “It was very nice,” he said.
The Patriots beat the Raiders.
