Long Story Short

The terms, in plain words.

These terms cover the Long Story Short app on iPhone and Android and the game at sheets.works/long-story-short. Using either means you agree to them. Last updated 1 October 2026.

Who you are dealing with

Long Story Short is made and run by Honey Bright Path, a partnership registered in India, at 107 Subhanjali Sehkari Awas, Etawah, Uttar Pradesh 206001, GSTIN 09AATFH6567L1ZD. "We" and "us" in these terms means Honey Bright Path. Questions go to akash@sheets.works.

What the service is

Short summaries of news reported by other outlets, and a daily word game built from a true sentence. We write the summaries and the puzzles. The reporting belongs to the outlets named on each card, and each card links to them.

Your account

Buying things

Everything in the app is sold through Apple's App Store or Google Play, under their terms as well as ours. The price is the one the store shows you before you confirm.

Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its policy. If something we sold did not work, write to us and we will put it right.

Gifting or sponsoring a day

When you buy a day, you write the sentence and we turn it into the puzzle. Because every player sees it, these rules apply:

Streaks and stickers

Streaks, levels and stickers are a record of what you did. They have no cash value, cannot be bought or sold outside the app's own items, and may be recalculated if we find a bug in how they were counted.

The content

We work to get every summary right. If we got something wrong, email us and we will correct it, and say so. The summaries are ours; the facts belong to everyone; the original reporting belongs to its outlet. You may share a card, a result or a sticker from the app the way the app offers to share it. You may not copy the feed, scrape the service, or rebuild the game and pass it off as yours.

What we promise, and what we do not

We run the service with care and we will tell you about any big change. But it is a small team, and news moves fast. The service is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will always be available or always be free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem. Nothing here limits what the law in your country gives you as a consumer.

Ending things

You can stop using the service and delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend or end the service, or your access to it, if these terms are broken or if we can no longer run it, and in that case we will give notice where we can and refund any unused part of a subscription.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, the app will tell you before the change applies, and the date at the top will move.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute goes to the courts at Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, unless the consumer law where you live gives you the right to go to your own courts.
