Kept 'police'? They really did get there first, and they are the best wrong word in the sentence, but arriving is not delivering. Kept '911' or 'husband'? That is the call that started it, and the five has to say what the call got her. Kept 'hospital'? It is the place this did not happen, and 'outdoors' already says so.
This one really happened. Anna Kingrey of Greenville, South Carolina went into labour with her third child over the summer and knew she would not make it to hospital, so her husband Bryan rang 911. Greenville police reached the house first, then the fire department's quick response vehicle with a certified EMT and a paramedic aboard. Fire Specialist Daniel Pronk and Firefighter Dan Wilder stayed with her through the delivery, which happened in the front yard. 'They entered a scary situation,' she said, 'but their professionalism and calm attitudes made the whole family trust in their abilities.' This week the family walked into Station 1 with Cooper, now three months old, and his older brother and sister, so the two men could meet the baby properly.
