Frankenstein, Chapter 3

Victor's mother dies. He goes to university at Ingolstadt and throws himself into science.

Frankenstein opens with four letters from the explorer Robert Walton, then tells Victor's story in 24 chapters, then closes with Walton's last letters. Chapter 3 comes after Chapter 2 and before Chapter 4. The key line here comes from Victor.
